My research is in ecology and evolution, mainly of plants. One activity (~40% of time) is an ARC-Discovery research project "Plant ecological strategies and an evolutionary-ecology vegetation model ". Our Comparative Ecology Group includes people funded under this project, plus others with their own funding or scholarships. The Comparative Ecology Group runs regular journal clubs and other processes of discussion and mutual support. Another activity is the ARC-NZ Research Network for Vegetation Function. Convening the Network occupies ~60% of my time. Its main activity is working groups which meet for 3-5 days, often at Network headquarters at Macquarie University. I am also leader of the Macquarie University Genes to Geoscience Research Centre, and of a Concentration of Research Excellence (CoRE) in Ecology and Evolution. Here are links to a brief CV and to a list of publications from the group. |
