Prerequisites:

BIOL 246(P) and CBMS223(P)

or PSY236(P)

Or: admission to PGQUAL; CHIR

When and how offered:

  • 1st semester 2007: Available in internal and external modes.
  • 2 one hour lectures per week + 4 hour practical or tutorial class per week.
  • Attendance and participation in practical and tutorial sessions is compulsory.

Assessment
Assessment is divided between a mid semester test, an examination at the end of semester and the assignments (seminar, practical reports)

Textbook:
The text book for this course is "Human Physiology" 4th edition by Silverthorn D U, published in 2007 by Pearson. Other physiological texts of a similar standard may also be suitable, for example, one you recently purchased for Biol 246..

You will also need to purchase a lecture graphics manual available from the Co-op Bookshop on campus.
